Former Dunmore Road resident John C. Lineberry died on April 30, 2014. He lived in Oak Crest Village for 10 years. He was 91.
He was the youngest and last survivor of nine children born to Wilburn Thomas Lineberry and Nora Elva (nee' Alderman) Lineberry in Galax, Virginia. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during the war.
He is survived by his former wife Nancy Thomas, children John R. Lineberry and Michele D. Epley, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
