Lola Attlesey
Services for Lola Ponder Attlesey, 83, of Sulphur Springs are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tapps Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. L. B. Morgan officiating.
Burial will be in the Reilly Springs Cemetery with Larry Brandenburg, Finnas Attlesey, Cecil Stinson, Kyle Renshaw, George Mobley and Glenn Moore serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs Attlesey died Sunday afternoon at Tomball in Harris County. She was born March 9, 1905, a daughter of Jim and Laura Moody McClain. She married Hollis Ponder. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1968. She married Ellis Attlesey. He preceded her in death Jan 26, 1985.
She was a retired dressmaker and a Baptist. Survivors include one son Dewitt Ponder of Montana; one daughter, Truetta Webb of Magnolia; one brother Robert McClain of Livingston; one sister, Ethel Burris of Alabama; nine grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; and 11 great- great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Ponder, in 1987, and a daughter, Dimple Rex, in 1987
