He is survived by his wife, Barbara Echart, sons, Michael and Dennis Echart, daughter, Lisa Rayburne, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at McWilliams Funeral Home in Hempstead with Pastor Bill Montgomery officiating. Graveside services were held Monday, April 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Honey Grove, Texas with Rev. Terry Cunningham officiating under the direction of McWilliams Funeral Home in Hempstead.
