KIMBERLY, IDAHO - Niels Albert Olsen, 77, active Kimberly civic and church leader and resident since 1915, died at home Sunday following long illness. Served on Kimberly school board, director and president of Kimberly-Murtaugh school district, federal land bank, and bishop of Kimberly Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for many years. Born July 13, 1880, in Villingeback, Esbonderup, Denmark. Came to this county in 1889 with his mother, brother and sister. Resided in Richfield, Utah. Married 1902. Survived by widow sons, Marie Sandberg, there April 23. Dr. Albert Lamon Olsen, Knoxsville, Iowa; Niels Andrew Olsen, Washington D.C., daughters, Mrs. Dudley T. Whittle, Mrs. Charles E. Barnes, Kimberly; Mrs. G. Lavelle Crapo and Mrs. Taylor H. Carr, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Sherman B. Lowe, Salt Lake City, one brother, 20 grandchildren, one great grandchild. Funeral services Friday 2 p.m. in LDS Church under direction of Floyd Olsen, Bishop. Friend call Tuesday until 1:30 p.m. and Friday at White Mortuary Chapel. Burial in Twin Falls Cemetery.
