Kimberly, March 10- Don Phil Olsen 31, Kimberly farmer, died unexpectedly this afternoon in the Twin falls County hospital. He succumbered of a blood clot.
Mr. Olsen's death was unexpected relatives stated, because of reports that his strength had been revived by the arrival of a brother from Michigan.
The arrival of the brother, Maj. A. Lamoine Olsen, Army Medical Corps, flown to Twin Falls in 17 hours from Michigan after being told of his brothers illness, made a marked change for the better. He left for Ft. Custer, Mich. where he is stationed yesterday, believing that his brother was out of danger.
Mr. Olsen was born at Richfield, Utah, Dec 6, 1913, and was brought to the Kimberly area when 8 months of age. He was a graduate of the Kimberly High School and attended the university of Utah, S.L.C for 3 years, where he studied medicine. He Has been in partnership with his father for nearly 9 years, farming 220 acres near Kimberly.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Davidson, who he married at Kimberly Nov 26, 1936; Children, Richard Phil 7, Gary Don 5, And David Albert 2; Parents Mr. and Mrs. Niels A. Olsen; Brothers. Major Olsen, whom the Red Cross are trying to contact, and Captain L. A. Olsen, who returned to Washington D.C following a visit with his brother; Sisters, Mrs. D.T. Whittle, Twin Falls; Mrs. Melba Grabo, Idaho Falls, Miss Vera Olsen, Portland Oregon, connected with the office of War Food Administration; Mrs. Nina Low, Paris; Mrs. Betty Carr, Kimberly.


NOTES-
There seems confusion to who is attached to him as wives. RECORDS show that his wife was born 26 Feb 1914-
On 1920 census she is 5 years old, 1930 census shows she is 16 years old and 1940 census shows she is 26 years old. Marriage records show she married Don Phil Olsen on 26 Nov 1936 in Kimberly. When his death occurred she is listed as married to him with 3 sons.
In 1981 when her father died she is listed as Virginia Erickson.
Perhaps much more research needs to be done on the wives attached to Don Phil Olsen????
