Mary was known as the Widow Barr when she married Mathias E. "Tice or Tise" Tally on May 28, 1816 in Mecklenburg, N.C. Her Maiden name has been spelled Pyron / Piron

There is much speculation that Mary "Polly" Barr (Widow Barr)that her maiden name could have been Penion/Pinyan/Pynion/Pinion/Pinon...however to the best of my knowledge it has not been proven yet. If someone has proof I would greatly love to correct both my family tree but also this grave memorial. One of the signatures appears to be a William Pyron which is how we have had that as her Father all these years. We have the Mother as Mary J. Powell.
