James Giandalia, 65 Shoemaker, Is Dead

James Giandalia, 65, died at his home, 444 W. James St., at 11:30 p.m. yesterday after a long illness.

He was born in Sicily, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Morello Giandalia, and has resided here for the past 30 years. Before retiring 6 years ago, he operated a shoemaker's shop at the corner of Third and Ruby sts.

He was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Sons of Italy, Santa Innocentia, Moose, and the Italian-American Citizens Club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lucy Contino, and the following children: Mary C., wife of Charles B Ernst; Joseph L.; Rose C. wife of Peter Randisi; John J., and Leonard L. all of this city.

Five grandchildren also survive and these brothers and sisters; John, of this city; Angela, Philamina, and Thomas, all of Italy, and Mother Superior Anna Agnes, of the order of St. Anne, Italy.

GIANDALIA - Entered into rest in this city, on June 27, 1952, James Giandalia, husband of Lucy Contino Giandalia of 444 West James Street, in his 66th year. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 East King Street, on Monday at 9:00 o'clock, Requiem High Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:30 o'clock. Interment in Saint Anthony's Cemetery. Friends may call at Charles F Snyder Funeral Home Sunday evening 7 to 9 o'clock.
