N.F. Book Dies At 61
Nicholas Frank Book, 61, a resident of Klamath Falls for 23 years, died at the family home, 2526 Shasta Way, about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11. He had been in ill health for some time.
Mr. Book was a native of Sylvia, Kan., born Sept. 28, 1901.
He had been employed for many years in sheet metal work and was with S.R. Crawley, Weider, South Sixth Street, when illness forced his retirement.
Mr. Book was raised in the Methodist faith. During World War II he spent four years in the Kaiser Shipyards at Richmond, Calif. The family lived in Berkeley.
Funeral services will be announced by Ward's Klamath Funeral Home on arrival of relatives from the Midwest.
Survivors include the widow, Bee, Klamath Falls; daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Walters, Walla Walla, Wash., Mrs. Peggy Kelleher, Klamath Falls, Mrs. Sylvia Fitzsimmons, Olympia, Wash., mother, Mrs. Estella Book, 91, Sylvia, Kan.; three brothers, Smith and Jerome Book, Sylvia, Kan., Forrest Book, Denver; sisters, Mrs. Connie Clothier, Hutchinson, Kan., Mrs. Ida Carter, Ulysses, Kan, Mrs. Vada Batterton, Johnson, Kan., Mrs. Pauline Stafford, Lemon Grove, Calif.; also six grandchldren.
