"Julia Miranda Amsberry, 90, formerly of Bussey, died Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was born October 5th, 1875 at Bussey, the daughter of Alex and Susan DeVore. In 1900 she married Joseph Amsberry. She lived all her married life in Bussey. Her husband died in 1961. The past two years she has made her home with her two daughters in Omaha. A member of the Bussey Methodist Church. She attended school at Bussey.
Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Leora Thomas of Omaha, Mrs. Edna Brown of Des Moines, Mrs. Ruth Bentley of Omaha, and Mrs. Roberta Funk of Des Moines; four sons; Rolla of Teel, Arkansas, Charles of San Bernadino, California, Stanley of Venice and Arlen of Hamilton. 12 grandchildren. 18 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Anna Beaver of Knoxville.
Also preceding her was one son, Robert, and one brother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Bussey Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Summers officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bussey."
