Mr. Falkner was retired from the U.S. Army with service in World War II. He also retired from the Norfolk Naval Base Police Department. He had been a resident of Virginia Beach since 1960.
Survivors include one son, Michael Falkner of Virginia Beach; one daughter, Deborah Fulgham and her husband, William, of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Albert Falkner and Edward Driver; one sister, Pauline Wright; and two grandchildren, Kristin and William Falkner.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Princess Anne Memorial Park, 1110 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach.
