Norma Lee Drees, 72, Great Bend, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita. She was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Hays to Fred and Bertha (Binder) Drees.

Norma taught school at St. Patrick and St. Rose elementary schools and later was a librarian for the Central Kansas Library System, all of Great Bend. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Order of Dominican Sisters, both of Great Bend.

Survivors include her mother, Hoisington; and three brothers, Edward Drees, Great Bend, Tony Drees, Athens, Texas, and Kenneth Drees, Olathe.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Drees.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington, with Father Pascal Klein officiating. Graveside services will be at noon Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays, with Father Kevin Weber officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington; a vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Kidney Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in care of the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, P.O. Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544.
