ELIZABETH - Opal Ash Roberts, 77, of Route 3, Elizabeth, died Dec. 8, 1994 at St,Joseph's Hospital after an extended illnes.
She was born in Wirt County, a daughter of late Lawrence Ash and Emma Bell Ash Lamp. She attended Wirt County schools and was a homemaker. She was a life long resident of Wirt and Ritchie Counties. She was a member of Big Island Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, John M. with whom she resided in Elizabeth, Charles R. of Petroleum, and Clyde J, of Elizabeth; three brothers, Don Ash and Bob Ash both of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Carl Ash of Akron; two sisters, Orma Jarvis and Hilda Somerville, both of Akron; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Roberts, in 1988; and two brothers, Clyde Ash and Okey R. Ash.
Services 2 p.m. today, Bush Funeral Home, Elizabeth, the Rev. Dean Ash officiating. Burial Lewis Cemetery, Cisco, W.Va.
