Ronnie Hammons, 71, of Caldwell County died Monday, June 15, 2015 at his home following a long illness. He was a retired river boat chief engineer, owner of Hammons Automotive in Princeton, an Air Force Veteran, and member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church. He received numerous trophies for racing motorcycles. At the age of 67, he raced a car for the last time.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Cravens Hammons, Caldwell Co., KY; two step sons, Robby Robinson, Princeton, KY; Kevin Soloman & wife, Chelsey, Paducah, KY; two step daughters, Shawn Crayne & husband, Stanley, Kevil, KY; Michelle Miller & husband, Randy, Sarasota, FL; six step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Starks, FL; several nieces and nephews, and several sisters and brothers in laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris & Eskeleen Atwood Hammons; four brothers, Jim Hammons, Harold Hammons, Charles Hammons, Bonnie Hammons; and two sisters, Jean Duncan and Peggy Powers.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Duane Burden officiating. Burial will follow in Millwood Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton.
