Louis A. Scieszinski

Louis A. Scieszinski , 70, of Melrose Route 2 died Sept. 28 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

He was born in Monroe County on December 13, 1910, the son of Martin and Nettie Kosman Scieszinski. A lifelong resident of the Melrose area, he was a farmer and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Weller.

On Dec. 26, 1942, he married Genevieve Crall at Weller. She survives.

Also surviving are two brothers, Ed of Ottumwa and Bernard of Oklahoma; and one sister, Irene Brown of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter* and one sister.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Weller with the Rev. S.A. Conrad officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Melrose. The rosary will be 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Humeston-Gilbert Funeral Home in Albia.
