A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Hollis Franklin and Lorene Ailene Russell Staggs, he was an employee of RNMG-Riggings and of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Claudine Stafford Staggs of the home; two sons, Hollis M. Staggs of the home and Mark Staggs of Clinton; a daughter, Kim S. Reid and husband, Jeff of Inman; three brothers, Cleveland Staggs of Wellford, Ronnie Staggs of Ninety Six and Melvin Staggs of Lyman; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and one adopted grandson, Jesse Dragon.
Mr. Staggs was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
