LYMAN, SC-- James Alvin Staggs, Sr., 65, of 3250 Highway 357, widower of Mary Lequire Staggs, died November 18, 2007 at his home. A native of Greenville County, son of the late Hollis Franklin and Lorraine Russell Staggs, he was a retired employee of Mitsubishi Polyester Film and a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, James A. Staggs, Jr. of the home and Curtis Staggs of Spartanburg; five brothers, Ronnie Staggs of Ninety Six, Steve Staggs of Campobello, Cleveland Staggs of Wellford, Larry Staggs of Waterloo and Melvin Staggs of Gaffney and three grandchildren, Cortney Staggs of the home, Kristen Staggs and Amber Staggs both of Boiling Springs. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Josh Phillips and Rev. Ansel Norris. Masonic rites will be held at the gravesite. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made at Little Mountain Baptist Church, Senior Group, 1302 Little Mountain Road, Wellford, SC 29385.
