Gloria Alice Pierce, a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away suddenly on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the age of 75.

Gloria was born at home on October 3, 1939 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late Frank and Hilda Kassube Bruyer.

On September 2, 1972 in Mount Clemens, she was united in marriage to Russell C. Pierce. Together they celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary.

During her high school years, she was employed at Breitmeyer Florist located in Clinton Township. This well known family owned flower shop (no longer in business) taught her the fine art of floral arranging. She enjoyed it so much, she would stay employed by the Breitmeyer Family for more than 30 years. Later, she was employed in the credit card department of First National Bank in Mount Clemens, now known as 5/3 Bank for over eight years.

On her personal side, she enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing Bunko with a group of friends.
She and Russell traveled to California and Florida.
She will best be remembered as an artist that created miniatures. As a miniaturist, she fashioned all items you would find in a house in the form of furniture and everything else you could think of. She also created dioramas, which are three dimensional miniature models. This all took patience and a steady hand.
She was also a member of St. John the Apostle Anglican Church in Clinton Township.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband Russell, her brother Frank Bruyer, brothers in law, Frank Davis, David (Cindy) Pierce, Ray (Geri) Pierce and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Davis, sisters in law Jackie Bruyer, Elaine (Al) Pierce Burgess and brother in law Floyd Pierce.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 am (instate at 10:30 am) at St. John the Apostle Anglican Church, 18401 Canal Road, Clinton Township, Michigan with the Rev. Father Terry G. Moore officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Burial will take place at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.

Contributions may be addressed to Fraser VFW Post 6691, 17075 Anita, Fraser, MI 48026 or envelopes available at the funeral home.
