Ms. Echols, daughter of the late Rufus and Ezma Horne Ashley, was born in Dublin and lived in the Macon area for most of her life. A graduate of Bruce Elementary and Dudley Hughes Vocational School, she was retired from Bibb County Health Department. Ms. Echols attended Lizella Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Survivors include her son, Lee Echols of Macon; her daughter, Samantha Varner of Lizella; four grandchildren, Kaylee Watts and Cassidy Varner of Lizella and India Echols and Austin Echols of Macon; four brothers, Tony R. Ashley, Troy S. Ashley, Jerry H. Ashley and Hank Ashley all of Macon; two sisters, Qutene Leonard and Gail Walker of Lizella; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
