Doodle's was the daughter of Jacob Theodore Hilliard and Sarah Jane Taylor. She was born July 29, 1921, on the "Old Home Place" near the state line at Turkey Ford. Doodle married Thomas Reed Cox Sr. on 2-14-1942. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and 11 half-brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Cox Jr.of Newalla, and Darrel Cox of Vinita, OK., Remona Cox of Bluejacket, two sisters Edna Foist of CA. and Claris Miller of Houston, TX.: two grandsons, Thomas David Cox and Casey Cox: five granddaughters, Keri Kennedy, Tammie Cox, Stephanie Smith, Amy Fromm and Rachel Cox: and six great-grandchildren.
The services were held with Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lee Hilliard officiating. Burial was at the Bluejacket Cemetery.
