Frank was an attorney ; a municipal judge in Kansas City from 1948 to 1951; and a Republican candidate for Congress in 1952. He worked with his brother Jim for Young Life, a Christian ministry organization, founded by his brother after he graduated from seminary. Reverend James Chalmers Rayburn, Jr. and four other seminarians collaborated, and Young Life was officially born on October 16, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Frank was survived by his wife, Dorothy Rayburn of Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Scott Rayburn; a daughter, Kimberly Jane Rayburn of Kansas City, Missouri; and three brothers; James Chalmers (Helen "Maxine") Rayburn, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Paul Beck (Edith) Rayburn, Sr. of Portland, Oregon and Reverend Dr. Robert Gibson (La Verne) Rayburn of Saint Louis, Missouri.
The Law Mortuary, 116 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs handled the arrangements in Colorado.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 1, 1966 at Mount Moriah Mortuary, Holmes Road & 105th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment followed in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
