James Chalmers Rayburn, Jr., 61, of Colorado Springs, Colorado died at his home, Friday, December 11, 1970. He was born July 21, 1909 to James Chalmers, Sr. and Elna (nee Beck) Rayburn in Marshalltown, Iowa. He had been ill, due to prostate cancer for awhile.

In addition to his wife, survived by; two daughters, Elna Ann "Ann" Robertson of San Rafael, California, and Mary Margraet "Sue" Hayes of Denver, Colorado; a son, James Chalmers "Jim" (Lucia) Rayburn, III of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and two brothers, Reverend Dr. Robert Gibson (La Verne) Rayburn of St. Louis, Missouri and Paul Beck (Edith) Rayburn, Sr. of Spokane, Washington.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, December 16, 1970, 3:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 219 East Bijou Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
