William Raymond Rouse, 54, of Mesa Oaks Circle, Austin, Texas, died Saturday in Austin. Born June 18, 1942, in Williamsport, he was a son of William J. and Pauline Neuber Rouse, Dushore. He graduated from St. Basil's High School in 1960, attended the University of Scranton for two years and transferred to Mansfield University, where he graduated in 1967.He served with the U.S. Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant and retired at the rank of Captain. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked in real estate and for American Airlines, where he was currently employed.He married the former Shirley Smith of Mansfield on July 26, 1969.He was a charter member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 8156, where he was a past Grand Knight.Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Travis Rouse, Austin, Texas; Craig Rouse, at home; a daughter, Karen Zurovec, Austin, Texas; brothers, James R., Dushore; Richard E., Woodbridge, Va.; sisters, Kathleen Arpa, Falls Church, Va.; Rosemary Meisner, Slidell, La.; Delores Inch, Vienna, Va.; nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Basil's Church, Dushore, with the Rev. Patrick J. McLaughlin, pastor, officiating.Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery.Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with a Scripture service at 8 p.m. Wednesday.Graveside military services will be accorded by members of Loyalsock Post 996 American Legion, Dushore, and members will pass in review at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
