ASHEBORO — Opal Allred Hoover, 83, of Asheboro died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at her residence.Opal was a native of Randolph County, retired from Black & Decker and a member of Cedar Falls United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Leonard Allred; husband, Howard J. Hoover; sisters, Arro Mae West, Delsie Eddings and Ruth Venable; and brothers, William “Bill” Allred, Jack Allred and J. W. Allred.She is survived by daughter, Lynn Causey, and husband Alton of Asheboro; son, Darrell Rogers and wife Martha of Asheboro; stepson, Jeff Hoover and wife Sandy of Asheboro; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.The funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Cedar Falls United Methodist Church, Asheboro, with Rev. Yvonne Hechle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
