Mrs. Arro Mae Allred West, 90, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Howard and Rev. Yvonne Hechler officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Falls United Methodist Church Cemetery.
A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. West was born September 29, 1922. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Allred and Flossie Alice Leonard Allred. She was retired from Union Carbide and a member of Cedar Fall United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and embroidery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy West.
Mrs. West is survived by son, James "Jimmy" Garland West, of Asheboro, Robert "Bobby" Allen West, of Asheboro; sister, Opal Hoover, of Franklinville, grandchildren, Karen, Gayle, Celena, Michael; and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
