Betty Andrews Pell, age 84, of Asheboro died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House.

Ms. Pell was born in Randolph County on June 9, 1930 to Hezekiah L. and Mattie Lamb Andrews. She was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. Betty was President of the Asheboro/Randolph Board of Realtors in 1978, Realtor of the Year in 1997 at the Asheboro/Randolph Board of Realtors, and served as State Director of the NC Board of Directors in 1979. Betty retired after 50 years of serving as a Realtor. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers Britt and Clovis Andrews, and sisters Cora Marie Phillips, Artie Lee Mason, and Virla Shaw.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Pell of Asheboro; daughter, Terry Pell Thomas and husband Billy of Siler City; grandchildren, Julie Kiertekles and husband Joe of Raleigh, Ginger Teague and husband Jeffrey of Siler City, Angie Ritter and husband Worthy of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, and Cooper Teague all of Siler City, Samuel, Emily, and Elizabeth Ritter of all Asheboro; sisters, Dorothy Michael of Asheboro, Dee Coble of Asheboro, Etta Mae Macon of Trinity; and brother, Frank Andrews and wife Faye of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Road Baptist Church, 1566 Old Cox Road, Asheboro with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Charlotte United Methodist Church Cemetery.
