Gladys Ethyl Baker, 91, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died May 9, 2015 at her home. She was born January 13, 1924 at Huntsville, Arkansas, the daughter of Will and Josie Cain Vaughn. She was a homemaker, a Protestant, an excellent artist and loved flowers. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carrolyn Sue Baker Kelley, one granddaughter, Diana Lynn Ponder, her parents and one sister, Chloe Roebke.

Survivors include: her husband of seventy-four years, James Bernard Baker of the home whom she married on August 2, 1941; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Joanna and Chad Brown of Poteau, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Brown and Matthew Brown, both of Poteau, Oklahoma, Spencer Ponder of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Megan Ponder of Cabot, Arkansas; one sister, Tony Ledbetter of Wichita, Kansas and one niece, Lois Jean Papka of Wichita, Kansas.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, May 14, at the Alabam Cemetery with The Reverend Gary Faulkner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
