SELLERSBURG -- Wilford E. Bartelt, 85, died Sunday, September 14, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN. He was a native of Huntingburg, IN, a graduate of Purdue University and a retired forester. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ in New Albany and the Kentuckiana Roundance Council. Survivors include his wife, the former Bette Mundy, a son, Phil Bartelt, grandchildren, John E. and Meg Bartelt, and two sisters. Visitation will be from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kraft Chapel, with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy go to St. Mark United Church of Christ or the donor's favorite charity.
