A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James Nelson Buckner and Lodusky Rice Buckner. Nancy was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. While living in Assisted Living the past few years, she enjoyed crafts, bingo and the fellowship of her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Charles Harris in 1989; 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Nancy was survived by her daughter, Bernice Downen; son, James Larry Harris; sister, Ada Barham; grandchildren, John Wilson, Jenny Jodoin and Kisha Morrison and great grandchildren, Taylor Stamey and Mikayla Jodoin.
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Faith, Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn with Rev. Danny Gasperson officiating.
