Gilbert Arellano, 67, of Las Cruces, passed away on May 19, 2006 (formerly of Chamisal). He is preceded in death by son, Gerald Arellano, and daughter, Valerie Ann Roybal. He is survived by Claudina Arellano (wife) sons, Daniel and Philip (María), daughter, Chantel, step daughter, Marlene Akel, (Pete). He is also survived by Percinia Arellano (former wife), daughters, Alice Arellano (Toby Velarde), Barbara & Mario Madrid, and grandson Derrick Arellano. Ivan Roybal, sonin law, and grandson, Andrew Roybal III. He is also survived by sisters Lorraine Armendáriz, (Texas), Florence Whistler, (Arizona), Oralia Moore, (Albuquerque,), Mary Joyce Fidel, (Peñasco) and Rosita Wikstad (Hank) (California) and Brother Rodolfo Arellano, (Arizona) and by many other relatives. Memorial Services will by held in Las Cruces Saturday, May 27, 2006. Burial Services will be held in Chamisal Presbyterian Cemetery at June 3, 2006, at 4:00 pm
