Daniel Arellano, of Las Cruces, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. He was born May 8, 1984 in Las Cruces, NM to Gilbert Arellano and Claudina Tarin Arellano.

Daniel was a graduate from Mayfield High School of Las Cruces, NM and completed an Emergency Medical Technician Course at Dona Ana Community College. Daniel was a Master Granite Fabricator at ACE Granite where he worked side by side with his brother, Philip. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, taxidermy, shooting, off-roading, outfitting (guided hunts) dancing and singing to country music and a passion for gardening. Daniel was a member of the New Mexico Desert Dogs and the NRA. He won first place in a truck pull at the Rocky Ford, Colorado State Fair. Daniel was a devoted and loving father, dedicating his time to teach his daughter, Chloe, to shoot her pink .22 rifle and was her mentor with the New Mexico Game and Fish youth hunting program. Daniel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Chloe Felicia Arellano; his mother Claudine Arellano, significant other Ashley Montano; brother Philip Arellano (Marla); sisters Marlene Akel (Peter), Chantelle Arellano, Barbara Madrid and Alice Arellano. Also surviving him are his nephews Derick Arellano, Andrew Roybal and grandmother Claudina C. Tarin. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Arellano, brother Gerald Arellano and sister Valerie Roybal.

Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with Peter Akel officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation account has been established for the benefit of Daniel Arellano, through Wells Fargo Bank. Account#: 8585982583.
