Blaine Ernest Wadding,58, of 405 E. Main St., Dayton, died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 1983 at Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital. Born April 18, 1924, in Dayton, he was a son of Don Ernest and Ruth (Clever) Wadding. He married Gertrude Elaine Cogley on Aug. 16, 1946. He was a member of the Dayton Glade Run United Presbyterian Church; the Dayton District Volunteer Fire Department and VFW Post 863 in Kittanning. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the 26th Infantry Division, 101st Infantry Regiment, in France and Germany during World War II. He served as Justice of the Peace in Dayton from 1958 to 1970 and was associated with the Dayton Fair Board for 27 years. He lived his entire life in the Dayton area. He worked as a caster for theElger Co. before retiring in 1971. He is survived by his mother of Dayton RD1; his wife; one son, Randall E. Wadding of Dayton RD2; one daughter, Mrs. Todd (Sonja) Cornish of Dayton RD2; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Mary Ellen) Adamson od Lucerne Mines and Mrs. Blair (Kathryn) Good of Dayton RD1. Six brothers also survive, Ivan Clever of Sarver; Robert E. Wadding of Plumville, Stanley F. Wadding, of Yatesboro RD1, Donald L Wadding of Dayton; Gerald D. Wadding of Findlay, OH and Edward D. Wadding of Franklin RD3. Five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 14, 1971. The funeral will be held at the Frank O. Bly Funeral Home, Dayton at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 1983. The Rev. Thoburn R. Stull will officiate. Burial will follow in Glade Run Cemetery. Kittanning Leader Times1/31/1983
