O.D. Allen, 91, died May 23 at Candler Hospital.
The Screven County native was a charter member of Rothwell Baptist Church, a deacon, a former treasurer and a member of the choir. He retired from Bradley Plywood in Savannah and was an Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Pooler most of his life.
SURVIVORS: a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Kathy Allen of Faulkville; a brother, Casaby Allen of Ladson, S.C.; and a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Wendell Bruce Allen Jr. and Alison Allen of Savannah.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Rothwell Baptist Church in Pooler, burial in Newton Cemetery in Pooler.
