Stephen died in Colchester Point, Malletts Bay Vermont, on Dec 16, 1887. Cause of death of Stephen Bessette: Ulceration of Stomach (duration 55 days).
Stephen is buried in St Joseph Cemetery in Burlington Vermont, his wife Aurelia remarried in Dec 1888 to Edward Young (whom also was widowed and father in law to her daughter Fanny (Bessette) Young).
Aurelia died on Mar 11 1922 and is buried with her 2nd husband Edward Young in Old Mt Calvary Cemetery, Burlington Vermont.
