The date on the stone is wrong. Robert died in 1898. Bro Edgecomb died at the home of his daughter –Mrs. Mary Ulery,– of Bright's disease, Sept. 4. After an illness of almost three weeks he passed away at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 24 days. He has been an almost constant sufferer for a number of years. He was a minister and zealous worker in the Lord's vineyard for many years. He died strong in the faith, anxious to change this mortal body for one of immortality. He was the father of 12 children, eight of whom survive him. His wife preceded him nearly six years ago. Funeral services were held at the Osage church, conducted by Bro. J.K Shively assisted by Eld Eli Wolfe from the text: "Blessed is the man that dieth in the Lord." Interment in the Brethren cemetery. D.P.Neher.
