Hiram Campbell, Greenwood, Dies
Greenwood, Oct. 8 – Hiram Campbell died at his home, 502 Euclid avenue, Wednesday morning at 11:55 o'clock. He had been in failing health for several years.
Funeral services will be conducted in the J.C. Wilson funeral home at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon and burial will be in the Greenwood cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 6 o'clock Thursday evening and are invited to attend the rites.
The son of Robert and Harriett Waltman Campbell, he was born in Marion County July 29, 1874.
He married Katherine Elizabeth Lanam and they were the parents of two daughters and three sons.
Resident for 35 Years
An upholsterer by trade, Mr. Campbell had been a resident of Greenwood for 35 years, coming here from Morgantown where he had been an upholsterer and furniture repairman.
Surviving with the widow are the daughters, Mrs. Blanche Ford, of Franklin; Mrs. Lucille Ritter, of Bloomington; the sons, Lowell Campbell, of Brazil; Allan Campbell and Edwin Campbell, of Bloomington.
Other survivors are 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge.
