Mrs. W. S. Nation Died Suddenly
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Nation, wife of W.S. Nation, died Sunday evening about ten o'clock at her home on South Johnson avenue. Mrs. Nation had been in her apparently usual health. She had been around as usual with her household duties, but at 2:00 she suffered a stroke of paralysis that affected her left side. Her sudden death was a great shock.
Mrs. Nation was born in Brown county, May 28th, 1859 and was the daughter of Robert and Harriett Campbell. She married Mr. Nation November 22, 1879. They had lived in Franklin several years. Mrs. Nation had been a member of the Methodist church since she was a girl.
Beside her husband she is survived by five daughters and a son. They are: Mrs. Roscoe Ratliff, Mrs. George Hoagland, Mrs. Garfield Green, Miss Vivian Nation and Robert Nation, of Franklin, and Mrs. R. S. Fredrickson of Bloomington Illinois. She also leaves two sisters and three brothers none of them live in this county.
The funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by the Rev. John Skeen. Burial in Greenlawn.
