Leslie Sosbe Dies at Hospital
Rites Saturday for local Resident, 77

Leslie Sosbe, 77, resident of this city most of his life and a retired cabinetmaker, died at Major Hospital at 5:35 this morning. He had been ill for several years and hospitalized two weeks. His home at 478 W. Mechanic St.

Born in Jellico, Tenn, March 26, 1883, he was a son of Joshua and Elnora Sosbe. He was married February 3, 1901 to Katie M. Burkher who survives with four daughters. Mrs. Opal Lawless, Mrs. Frances Peters, and Mrs. Helen Burgess of this city, and Mrs. Pauline Taylor of Long Island, N. Y. A son Garnett, died in 1946. Also surviving are one sister and one brother, Mrs. Etta Powell of this city and John Sosbe of Toledo., Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sosbe was a member of the Methodist Church. His funeral will be held at the Sleeth Funeral Home Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. B. H. Renner officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home afater 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
