Della Wooten died Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock at her home after being in failing health for the past two years. Her condition became critical a week ago. Daughter of the late Billy and Mary Lee Black, she was born in Madison County and spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Highland Heights Methodist Church and took an active part in its work until her health failed. Surviving are her husband, C. W. Wooten, member of the Jackson police force; one son, Kenneth F. Wooten of Jackson; one daughter, Mrs. Billy Hall of Jackson; two brothers, Milton Black of Malesus and Homer Black, Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. J. A. Day, Mrs. Pearl Black and Mrs. Jim Peters, all of Malesus. The body will be at Griffin Funeral Home until Friday at 10:30 a. m., when services will be held in the chapel. The Rev. S. P. Bagby will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
