Daughter of William T. (b. England) and Rachel Likens (b. OH) Bell, she was single, a musician, lived at 1436 Buffalo St, Franklin, died at White Rest Home in Utica, where she'd been 2 years, of cancer of uterus, colon, axillary glands, right breast and right leg, per death certificate 26736, whose informant was rest home records. Buried Mar 16 1944.

Franklin News-Herald, Tuesday, Mar 14 1944:
Miss Anna Bell, 70, died at 11:30 pm Monday at White Rest Home, Utica, where she has been a number of years. She has been in ill health for 7 years. She was born in Franklin Aug. 15, 1873, daughter of William T. and Rachel Likens Bell.

For more than 25 years she served St. John's Episcopal Church as organist, and took keen interest in the choir. She was active in the Monday Evening Musical Society for many years, and was organizer of the Treble Clef Singers. She had a gracious personality which found its best expression in her friendly interest with all those with whom she came in contact. During recent years, despite much suffering, she was never known to complain.

Surviving is a brother, John Bell, of Niantic, CT. Deceased is a brother, A. Edward Bell, on July 4, 1942.

Services will be at 3 pm Thursday at St. John's Church. Burial will be in franklin Cemetery.
