Betty Curts Coghill, 76, of Carrollton, Ky., died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Owen County, Ky., the daughter of John Darrell and Mollie O'Nan Fitzgerald. She was a retired floral designer and was a member of First Apostolic Church of Carrollton.

She is survived by her husband, L.G. Coghill; two daughters, Cathy Lynn Cain of La Grange, Ky., and Patricia Ann Johnson of Carrollton; one son, Lonnie Gayle Coghill of Worthville, Ky.; one sister, Hallie Duncan of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was receded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary C. Halmess, Agnes Marie Welch and Martha Louise Walls; three brothers, Andrew Jackson Fitzgerald, Frank E. Fitzgerald and Noble Edmond Fitzgerald.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial will be in Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
