Virginia fell in her living room at 19 Byers Ave., Portsmouth, VA on 3 April 1966 at 7:30 a.m. She died the next day, 4 Apr 1966 at 7:25 p.m. in Maryview Hospital, 3636 High St., Portsmouth, VA. Cause of death was determined to be, subdural hematoma caused by the fall in her living room during a convulsive seizure. An autopsy was performed and she was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Newport News, VA in her sister and brother in laws plot (Randolph and Crystal (Roundy) Roane).
