Aaron was in the French and Indian War and served both in Capt. Lemont’s Company and in Capt. Solomon Walker’s Company. He was present in 1755 at the defeat of Maj. Gen. Edward Braddock, Commander-in-Chief of the 44th & 48th Regiments of the British forces in North America.
He signed the petition to separate from Georgetown and to incorporate as the town of Woolwich. This petition passed, and Woolwich was formed on October 20, 1759
He married Judith Leaman about 1750, and they had seven children together, all born and raised in Woolwich:
Mary b. 1751; married Richard Chaples
Margaret, b. 1753; probably died young
Henry b. 1755; settled in Boothbay d. 1846
John b. 1758; settled in Boothbay d. 1824
James b. 1760; setted in Rockport MA d. 1837
Judith b. 1763 married Samuel Barter
Sarah b. 1768 married Eliphalet Daniels
