Mrs. Oliver Kyser
LISBON -- Mrs. Elsie Alverda Kyser, 89, of 206 S. Lincoln Ave. died Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. at Salem Community East Hospital after a two year illness.
She was born in a log cabin in rural Fairfield Township, Aug. 6, 1886, a daughter of Wilson H and Elizabeth Compton Lower. She was a member of the East Fairfield Methodist Church and a housewife.
Her husband, Oliver J. Kyser, died May 9, 1974.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Garnet) Early of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Mrs, Alex (Mary) Rutecki of Lisbon; a son Frank O. Kyser of Tucson, Ariz.; a twin brother, Nelson Lower, of New Waterford; a brother, Wilson Lower, of East Palestine; a half brother, Russell Kyser, of Cleveland; three half-sisters, Mrs. Mae Wint, of Cleveland, Mrs. Alta Brooks, of Lisbon, and Mrs Sylvia Andres of Salem; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchildren.
Three sons preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Eells-Leggett Funeral Home with Rev. William S Longsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Leetonia.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
