Pat was born May 3, 1932 at Wilson to the late Mr. Mulbert Jona Apala and Mrs. Susan Frances (Emerson) Apala. He departed this life Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Healdton hospital.
Pat was raised at Ringling attending school at Mountain Home. He worked initially at various jobs and later in life owned and operated several convenience stores, including the Four Corners establishment north of Ringling. He married Kathleen Lyle on May 3, 1961 at Gainesville, TX. They always resided at Ringling. Pat enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting. He was a member of the Church on the Rock of Ringling.
Preceding him in death were his Parents; son, Brady Apala – 1989; sisters, Bonnie Griffith, Ruth Jackson, Wanda Myers, Vivian Gordon and Billie Griffith; brothers, Mulbert “June” Apala, Tom Apala and Gil Apala.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen Apala of Ringling; son, Roy Pat Apala and wife Sandy of Ringling; grandchildren, Brady Apala and Marissa Apala, both of Ringling; great grandchildren, Kamden Apala and Karizma Apala; Adopted Son, Robert Capps of Ringling; sisters, Ruby Phillips and husband Emmitt of Ringling and Shirley Lemons and husband Billy Don of Madill; numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Kendall Whitehead, Robert Capps, Brady Apala, Marissa Apala, Dave Law, Jr. and Johnny Law.
Honorary bearers are Bradley Delano, Roy Pat Apala, Lester Hembree, Jr. and Freddie Morriss, Jr.
