Evelyn M. Carroll Alspach, 97, Rapid City, formerly of Pringle and Custer, SD passed away August 31, 2008 at Black Hills Golden Living Center in Rapid City.
Evelyn was born March 31, 1911 to Squire and Maude (Verley) Gamber in Sheridan, WY, she was one of fourteen children. She married Glenn D. Carroll on July 18, 1929. To this union seven children were born. In November 1984 she married Claire Alspach. He passed away in 1985.
She is survived by her children, LaVern Carroll of Custer, SD; Marvin (Maggie) Carroll of Rapid City; Beverly (Ben) Carlson of Edgemont, SD; Arlene (Harold) Flack of Rapid City; one brother, Bill Gamber of CO; twenty- three grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bernard and Wayne Dean Carroll (Born 12 APR 1934 - Died 17 JUL 1995); seven brothers; five sisters and her two husbands, Glenn D. Carroll and Claire Alspach.
Her son, Earl E Carroll of Billings, Montana, died 29 Aug 2014 as the result of a traffic accident near Hysham, Montana.
