Earl Carroll, 78, of Billings passed away Friday Aug. 29, 2014, due to a tragic accident near Hysham.

Earl was born in Pringle, S.D. the son of Glen and Evelyn Carroll. In 1992, Earl married Catherine Olson. For the past twenty years he worked as a contractor. In years past he worked as a logger, iron worker and owner/trainer of race horses, an endeavor he dearly loved.

Earl was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki, his parents and brothers, Bernard and Wayne.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine and her two children, Shawn (Melissa), Christine (Darby); grandchildren, Donovan and Averie. Earl is also survived by brothers, Marvin (Maggie), LaVonne; sisters, Arlene (Harold), Beverly (Ben); son, Gary (Lisa); daughters, Susie (Terry) and Cathy as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life to be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 9, at Smitty’s 3953 Montana Ave.
