LAFAYETTE, AL -- Mrs. Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Bone Powell, 74, of LaFayette died Monday, 25 May 1998 at LaFayette Nursing Home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, 28 May 1998 at Garden Hills Cemetery in Opelika, AL.

Mrs. Powell is survived by her son, Thomas Nathan Powell of Lynwood, WA; her sister, Gracie Cora Wooddy of LaFayette, AL; two brothers, Arthur Edgar Bone of Valley, AL and Louis Franklin Bone of Columbus, GA; and her grandson, Jacob Powell of Lynnwood, WA.

Born 18 Jul 1923 in Tallapoosa County, AL, Mrs. Powell had lived in Opelika most of her life. She was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell's Opelika Manufacturing Plant.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Jeffcoat Funeral Home in Opelika, AL.

Jeffcoat Funeral Home in Opelika is handling arrangements.
