ST. STEPHEN, Minn. - Joseph Trobec, 65, owner of Trobec's Bar since 1935 and co-owner of Trobec's Bus Service, died at the St. Cloud Hospital Oct. 29. He was born here on Oct. 30, 1909, to the late Frank and Anne Trobec. He married Hilda Lubbesmeyer on Feb. 3, 1934 and she died May 30, 1965. He married Luretta Parker on June 8, 1968.
He was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Athletic Club, Sportsman's Club, St. Stephen's Men's Society, Stearns County Planning Board, State Fire Chief Association and was St, Stephen Fire Department chief for 25 years. He was a member of the St. Stephen's Church choir for 45 years. He was a district representative of the Lake Region Firemen's Association and an associate member of St. John's University.
Mr. Trobec is survived by his widow, sons and daughters, Joseph Jr., St Paul Park; Gerald, Lawrence, Mrs. John (Mary Lee) Vouk, Ray and Roger, St. Stephen; 21 grandchildren and brothers and sisters, Frank, St. Paul; Tony, St. Stephen; James and John, St. Cloud; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Schimnitch, Sauk Rapids; Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Blenkush, Shakopee and Mrs. Robert (Hannah) Hohmann, Rice.
Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Thursday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Weller, Alex Smoley, Joseph Kozel, Louis Dobbs, William Vouk Sr. and Arthur Diedrich. Friends may call at St. Stephen's Parish Hall after a p. m. tonight. The family prefers memorials. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Brenny Funeral Home, Holdingford.
