Jeanette was the daughter of John and Lucia Watson Taylor. (*Death record incorrectly transcribes her mother's name as Susan). Her father John Taylor was the son of Capt. William Taylor of Barnstable, MA. He was a merchant between England, Boston, and Baltimore. Jeanette was born in England, where the family lived for a time. Jeanette's mother was Lucia Watson Taylor of the prominent Watson family of colonial Plymouth.

Jeanette married Pelham Winslow Warren at her maternal grandfather's estate on Clarke's Island in Plymouth, where her parents had married years before, the first marriage on Clarke's Island.
