Nellie Blink was born in November 1886 in the Dutch agrarian settlement of Munster, located in the extreme northwestern part of Indiana, daughter of John Blink and Katharine Hoek (= Corner), who were both born in the Netherlands.

In April 1888, when Nellie was one year old, her mother Katharine died at the age of 34 years, very probably in Indiana, Lake County.

In June 1900 Nellie (12 y, born in November 1887 [has probably to be 1886] in Indiana, at school), her father John Blink (47, August 1853, Holland, immigrated in 1867, widower, farmer), her siblings Jacob (22, October 1877, Illinois, farm laborer), Mike (21, November 1878, Indiana, farm laborer), Ben (20, February 1880, Indiana, farm laborer), Mary (18, September 1881, Indiana, servant), Ellen (16, August 1883, Indiana, servant) and Dick [aka Richard] (14, Juni 1885, Munster, Indiana, farm laborer) were living at a rented farm in the -future- Munster area in North Township, Lake County, in the extreme northwestern part of Indiana.

In 1907 the new town of Munster was incorporated and given the name of one of its distinguished first citizens, Jacob Monster aka Munster, who settled here in 1855 with a few other Dutch immigrant families. Munster soon became a booming town that attracted many people.

In April 1910 Nell Blink (26 [has to be: 22], her father John Blink (57, Holland, immigrated in 1887, widower, father of 8 living children, farmer) and her brother Nicholas (24, farmer) were living at their own farm at Henry Street in Thornton Township, Cook County, Illinois.

On 4 November 1910 Nellie Blink married the also 24 years old William Heintz, in his birth place Lansing, nowadays a southern suburb of Chicago, immediately west of Munster, Thornton Township, Cook County, Illinois.

In January 1920 Nellie (33, Indiana), her husband William Heintz (33, Illinois, laborer at a brick yard), their children John William (4 years 8 months), Edward (3 y 10 m) and Ella May (1 y 4 m, and her father John Blink (63, Holland, immigrated in 1876, widower, retired) were living in their own house at 109 Trans Street in the village of Lansing, Thornton Township, Cook County, Illinois.

In April 1930 Nellie (43), her husband William Heintz (43, brick maker), their children John (15, Illinois), Edward (13, Illinois), Ella May (11, Illinois), Marylyn (9, Illinois) and Anthony W (6, Illinois), and her father John Blink (76) were living in their own house, worth $5000, at 231 Monroe Street in still Lansing, Cook County, Illinois.

In April 1940 Nellie (53), her husband William Heintz (53, loading at brick yards), their children Edward (23, picker at a cold storage), Ella Mae (21, housework at a private family), Marilyn (19) and W Anthony (16) were living in their own house, worth $2000, at still Monroe Street in Lansing, Cook County, Illinois. They lived in 1935 in the same house.

Her husband William C. Heintz died in January 1972 at the age of 85 years in Lansing, Cook County, Illinois. Widow Nellie died in October 1972 in South Holland, in Cook County located too, also at the age of 85 years.
